The stiffness of a coil spring, also known as its spring rate, is a measure of how much force is required to compress or extend the spring by a certain distance. It is typically expressed in units of force per unit of length, such as pounds per inch or newtons per millimeter. A higher stiffness indicates that the spring requires more force to deform, while a lower stiffness means it is easier to compress or extend the spring. The stiffness of a coil spring is determined by factors such as the material it is made of, the diameter of the wire, the number of coils, and the coil's overall length. **

Pre-AF is a feature that allows the camera to continuously focus on a subject even when the shutter button is not pressed halfway, which can help reduce the time it takes to focus when the shutter button is pressed. **
